Melasma is a common skin condition of adults in which brown or greyish patches of pigmentation develop. It is more common in women, but men can get it too. It is caused by the pigment producing cells in the skin (melanocytes) producing too much pigment (melanin). Contributing factors to melasma are pregnancy, hormone replacement, birth control pills and UV exposure.

At present, there is no cure for melasma, but there are lots of options which can help the appearance of it.
Here at Reverse Time we use a combination of products and treatments to treat the skin, including bespoke home skin care plans, chemical peels, micro-needling and mesotherapy. Our best results are often achieved using a combination of all of these!
